ESOL Classes

  • Full time ESOL Foundation courses for 16-18-year-olds - ESOL, IT, Numeracy, enrichment activities and much more.
  • ESOL classes for adults 19+ at different levels – Pre-Entry, Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3 and Level 1 classes.

Adult ESOL courses are part time 3 – 4.5 hours per week: mornings, afternoons and evenings. These classes are very busy, and a waiting list is in place for some classes. Classes are available at Bolton College, Deane Road and their Community Learning Centres.

WEA

ESOL Classes

  • Classes available for ESOL students from Pre-Entry - Entry 1 who fulfil the usual eligibility requirement regarding status in the UK.
  • Courses are free to students in receipt of benefits or who are economically inactive.

The WEA also offer some non-exam ESOL for new groups and those progressing between levels.

They also offer skills-based courses like Sewing into Business, Driving Theory and Community Interpreting (online) starting January 2026.

The Grace Church

A fun and relaxed environment for anyone wanting to learn English, held on Mondays 10:00-11:45. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced learner, everyone is welcome.

There is also a conversation cafe on Tuesdays 10:30-12:30 for the chance to practice conversational English in a friendly environment.
